I found this luggage at a second hand store. It was so desperate and it was calling out for me to take it home. I am not sure if this luggage is for a male or female; however, the exterior is rather masculine. The luggage was locked when I purchased it. I should have consulted YouTube, first, to pick the lock before I removed the rivets- live and learn. Inside, there was a foreign coin, and a sewing kit from Hilton, "made in West Germany". The luggage is in good condition and I look forward to using it, possibly as a satchel, but without the strap.
I do not see much information about MADLER, West Germany, on the internet and I would like to know more about the company and this bag. Thanks for reading. All comments are welcome.
Thanks for the love aghcollect
You're right, the exterior belies the interior. I think it might be 60's, just a guess
Thanks Jewels. That will give me some kind of a start.
No problem! Were you able to get the combo for the lock?
Lol........, yes. I had spent some time trying to get the combination but the lock seems to be a higher quality than the typical lock. Since I was more concerned about using the bag as a satchel I removed and replaced the rivets from the latch. I thought this was the least damaging to the luggage. Anyway, the combination is currently set to 000.
Jewels, I must confess there might have been an inkling of consideration to the $2.5 million Deutsche Bank bearer bonds I thought might be contained, lol, in that vessel when I ground those rivets off.
Haha! You never know, stranger things have happened!
Thanks, Riply206- Thant is good information I will look into further.

@hnjrhendrix3- No, I have not. Riply206 commented with information regarding the history of the company, but the comment has been deleted. Perhaps, you could contact Riply206 for the information.
Thanks for the love Patsea & Tom.
