I bought this at an Auction in my hometown. Size is: 26"L x 21"T x 12"W
There are age related imperfections. It weighs about 15 lbs. The metal bar handle I suspect was added at a later time, but I'm not sure. It slips in & out of the holes on each side. The Ferrier could not have carried it with the handle slipping out.
It is very sturdy, even though there are some cracks
The nails used in it's construction are round.
    Thanks!

I especially love the repair job, with what looks like a cut nail wedged next to the bolt on one end. Your box has allot of character, and I would not change a thing on it! Nice Find!
