This is a 1948 black & white print advertisement for Remington Electric Shavers featuring English-American comedian & actor Bob Hope; - noted as currently starring in the Technicolor comedy movie "The Paleface".

Remington and Sons, a firearms maker founded in 1816. - Remington & Sons made other products such as sewing machines and farm implements, but its most significant the typewriter. The typewriter division became Remington Typewriter in 1886 and then merged with Rand-Kardex in 1927 to become Remington-Rand.
