This is a replica Flintlock i have had about thirty years.
Not sure but was told it is a Springfield its forty nine inch long.
made of iron wood and brass. also a powder flask brass
With 2 1/4 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 Grams measure.
any information on weapon wellcome.
Sorry Ron, but they missed every curve, angle & other proportion that makes an antique gun have beauty. Guess it's too late to return?
I purchased from my older Brother, will sue him Thanks for information .
You have the gun now so there is another option. Appears to be made more for a shooter than a replica & those aren't real cheap either since the $ isn't worth much now. Do you shoot black powder? Lot of fun. Modern B.P. shooters just miss all the aesthetics of the originals. Need pointers on shooting the "smoke pole", let me know. Been shooting them for 59 yrs!
I spent a whole day shooting Flintlock & percussion cap Muzzle loaders
And a horse pistol great fun but my hobby is firing cannons and Martin Henry
Carbines Laws in Australia are fierce and gun control strong , lucky we started
cannon and carbine in 1980 and had licence to do public events
thirty four years no accidents many gun haters so have to be safety conscious.
So this is a working replica? I like it even more now.
