I saw this on the internet for sale and was wondering if this is "The Real Thing" It is being claimed as being very rare. I do not see it in Petretti's
    Coca-Cola price guide 10th edition.

Hard to say, but my gut feeling says it's not real. I think this is a job for ray or earlycoke.

Gary Metz who works for the auction company does most of the Coca-Cola descriptions and advertising for them, so I would say it is "The Real Thing" and very rare. They anticapate a hammer price in the $15,000 - $25,000 range. I don't think they are prepared for misrepresentation or a lawsuite, so its time to open the wallet for this one. Better yet, be prepared to open the safe because that is what it will take to buy it.

Description Circa 1920s. Beautiful and extremely rare stained glass hanging shade. Comes complete with original hardware and all original glass. Some pieces of broken glass and a few small pieces missing. Extremely rare and one of only a few examples known. Condition (Excellent).

MMM, That's good information to know. This shade should be added to the Petretti's Coca-Cola price guide.
