This chair belonged to my grandparents. It has no markings to indicate manufacturer on the wood or hardware. Does this look familiar to anyone? Is there any place else on the chair I might not be thinking to look?

My guess is the chair was made by Wollaeger Manufacturing Company prior to 1917. I have a similar chair.

will take a closer look at mine, which is very similar except with armrests. Was originally used in a government office - US Army recruiting station in the 1960's.

from the hardware underneath, yours appears older - and mine is stamped 1949.
