from the hardware underneath, yours appears older - and mine is stamped 1949.
Told they could be made by ABCO/Alexander Backer, but no apparent markings. Possible remnant of a gold decal remaining on bottom of base, but no info visible. Still searching. It was purchased in th...
1950's.
will take a closer look at mine, which is very similar except with armrests. Was originally used in a government office - US Army recruiting station in the 1960's.
