I have truly tried to find information on this old fan. I think it is from the 30s or 40s. Is there anyone who might be familiar?

Can you read any of the info on the plate under the switch.
      Is there a patent no.?

Looks like a Kisco (Company, Inc., St Louis, MO) but I can't find an image to match the high size - only "hassock fans" -

walksoftly - thats what I was looking at - it looks like the end under the knob that I can read is 'Louis, MO' and below that 'Made in U.S.A.' which matches the Kisco plate.

That's definitely the same name plate, knob & placement.
Only difference is the model #

Agh & walksoftly, you can answer any question! I am amazed! I do need to
clean this up - when it warms up! Ha! I love this old fan and need to make it useful again - the last time I tried it still worked. Thanks so much!!!!

Be careful when you plug in ANY old electrical appliance. One loose wire and you'll get a scary new hairdo :)

I think a new cord is a must, looks like someone patched on an old lamp cord.

Agh and walksoftly, I must choose safety since my hair already looks scary!!
