Savoychina1, 14 years ago Sorry, I havent a clue. How about a picture of the other side to show depth. Any markings?
jerryb, 14 years ago It's 1/2 inch in depth and there is no markings on it I do know that the house where it was found was built in the 1800's and I found the cutter in a garbage dump in the yard Thanks you for all your advise you have been giving me it sure has helped.
MsDowAntiques, 14 years ago Lots of info about antique cookie cutters online -- yours looks primitive, and kinda rough - better pix would be nice - both sides -- is it flat, or does it still have the attached cutting part?
Realistically, you should just watch ebay for similar pieces --
MsDowAntiques, 14 years ago You must have added your comment as I was writing -- 1/2 inch depth sounds like it does have the cutting blade.
I still suggest ebay. Duck shpea probably don't bring as much as more unusual shapes. Christmas and Halloween themes bring a premium. And certain makers/tinsmiths.
Good luck - let us know if you narrow it down.
jerryb, 14 years ago I'm sorry it is an inch and yes it does have a cutting blade I will attach the back of it so you can see
