BelleEpoque

One of my dearest pieces, this is the one that got me hooked on collecting. A lovely neclace in silver with rough turquoise matrix applications surrounded by delicate hand-made leaves and tiny flowers. Absolutely Arts and Crafts. Due to the style I believe the design to be by Scottish artist Jessie Marion King, date must be around 1900-1910. It is marked L&Co 925 on the back. I hope you enjoy it.
beautiful!!
Yes, BellaEpoque, I do understand how you got into Art and Craft jewellery, this is a wonderful piece of workmanship. I love it, thank you for sharing and passing on your knowledge.
Thank you for sharing this piece of your history!
Wonderful first piece ;-)
Breathtaking!!!! And speechless (unusual for me) lol
Wow - what a fab piece, I bet it wears beautifully. And great to see the L&Co mark. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Thanks for your kind reactions and loves!
It is very beautiful!
It looks amazing on display, but I'd love to see it being used... I'm always curious about how would a woman would look wearing these wonderfully displayed necklaces
Thanks austrohungaro!! You are right, wearing and displaying are not the same. But these necklaces are works of art on their own, I think. But be assured that I do put them on, and they look lovely and always make me feel special :)
I'm sure they must look amazing on you :)
Absolutely lovely. I am glad you wear it and enjoy everything about it.
I got hooked early on collecting cameos. I rather go for the carving rather than the karat level. And I do wear them.
