These are Vintage Buttons from 1900 to 1940's era, the materals used then are no longer used in button production, for example, in the first picture (browns), bakelite, casein & celluloid were used, in 2nd picture, glass, rhinestone & shell or mop(mother of pearl), all of these are very collectible and a great way to remember our history.
I love to keep old buttons on hand! They sometimes add that special little touch you need in projects.
hmmmm, somewhere i have an old tin full of buttons that I think was passed from my g-ma to my mother then to me....I really need to locate that, and see what I actually have. These are beautiful by the way, thanx for sharing
Button owners and collectors, keep metal buttons separate from celluloid buttons.
The metal buttons will cause the celluloid to degrade and fall apart.
