Germany
(1 item)
I don't know much about it. It is made in Germany. The clock has a back door and inside it has a W5 inscribed. The bottom of the clock has stamped Konald Mauch Schweinn Gen a.n. Germany. I like this clock very much it looks antique.
You have a Koma (miniature) carriage clock. The name Koma is derived from the first 2 letters of Konald and the first 2 letters of Mauch (KoMa)
I have a Koma Miniature traditional Anniversary clock that has a dial very similar to yours, they are very well built and keep good time.
The US and other allied countries promoted sales of West German goods (clocks) after WWII to help rebuild their country. Many different makes and models were imported, some were marked with their maker and some were not. Most of these clocks were built in the 50's and 60's but because they were so inexpensive many were thrown away when the fragile suspension spring/wire was damaged or broken.
Hopefully yours is up and running again, I find and repair all the 400 day clocks I can find as to preserve them for the next generation for all who can appreciate the fine mechanical engineering and beauty they represent.
