I found this in a brocante in the South of France. It is an 8x6 inch portrait of a young boy with some form of halo sketched around his head. It is lovely quality and I cannot make out if it is a print or an original.
Can anyone help me as to its' origins/artist etc ? Thanks.
It may be signed but is hidden by the frame matting
It is probably an image of St Dominic Savio.
The Italian Govt issued a stamp in 1957 commemorating the centenary of the deat of Dominic Savio. This looks to be a detail of the image used in that stamp.
