Sunshine Beer Thermometer

Here is a Sunshine Beer Thermometer that was made for the Sunshine Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. Thermometer signs like this one would have been placed against the bar back or toward the front of bars, taverns, and distributors to serve a purpose of telling the temperature inside or outside as well as advertising Sunshine Beer.

This thermometer is in excellent condition aside from a small crack in the plastic in the bottom left corner. This one is probably one of the best examples I have ever seen and honestly I haven't seen many. A sign like this one is considered a vacuum molded sign because of the thin plastic graphic wrapped over a cardboard backer. Signs like this one are very hard to find in good shape because of the thin plastic they are made from over time cracks and separates from the cardboard backer.

I have been looking for one of these for a long time ever since I started collecting breweriana. I'm glad to have it as an addition to my collection.
