This is my favorite Oscar Zannetti bird. I love the combination of the three colors and the way they refract inside the angular body. It was hand made using the massello technique -where the hot glass is modelled rather than blown. He used a 3-color sommerso effect, where layers of different color glass are added through immersion. This is a huge piece standing 21" h and is signed by the artist.

Rick this is a beautiful piece. It also helped me solve one of my ID problems from 2 months ago. What I thought was a Steuben dolphin was actually a Licio Zanetti fish..The Zanetti signature on mine was virtually identical to the one on yours, with an L following for Licio. Thanks for posting this!
