This 25in silverplate trumpet vase has markings I have been unable to identify. Also I include a picture of a crest, which is located just under the markings. Finally, a picture of the base (sitting on an octagonal mirror).
The seller seemed to think it was a late 19th century, Sheffield piece, but they could not identify the markings either.
Its striking in appearance and I am happy with it under any circumstance, but still, the curiosity about the history lingers. All help will be appreciated.
