These decanters and glasses ase 1930s/40s Farber Brothers Krome Kraft. The glass is made by Cambridge. I'm not sure how to cagegorize this. If anyone has a better idea, please let me know. My wife as an extensive Farber collection, and I hope to post more soon!
If its sterling silver there is a section dedicated to that as well, they are in excellent shape if they are from the 1930s and 40s, they look Brand New!
Very nice.
Nope, not sterling. All chromeplated. Thanks, they are in nice shape. We have some other pieces that are in a little rougher shape, but overall, the Farber Brothers items held up very well over the years.
Oh, Chromeplated No wonder its so Shiny! always nice to learn something!
I hhave a set similar but made in 1924. Just wanted to know if I should put ip and not have out for decor
We use ours as often as possible. As long as you take care when you clean it, and don't scratch it, you should be fine. It was made to be used, and is made of sturdy materials. I assume you have Farber Brothers KromeKraft, and not silver plate. That is a whole different story. Check the hallmarks on the pieces to be sure. Enjoy!
Your decanter set is cambridge glass with farber bros. chrome insets. The pattern is called Duchess Filigree design holders. Dated approx. 1940 to 1950. If the canter is 12" high then it is 14 oz, if 14" tall then it is the 30 oz. size, which is harder to find.
Enjoy
very beautiful!!
