Christmas Eve our style. Everybody loves a square rigger & this one just came in & anchoured where I could get a good shot during sunset. The wind was pretty strong so hard to keep the camera steady. One of my favourite sights is watching the crew on the ratlines furling or unfurling the main sheets when they arrive or depart. Never fails to give some gene a tingle!
Hope everybody has a good one! White stuff around our feet is called sand and those aren't snow clouds.

CW should ban one of us & I'm not sure who. Probably both! LOL. Whacky has a job on a yacht for 4 days going to St. Barths. Come to think of it, she didn't say what her job is? In this cold weather (76F) she will be double pointing at every body she talks to.

It ain't bad Roy. Most people thing it's like the travel ads. Actually, it's just another place to live & work (maybe). We don't even think about it or notice it. A hash brownie does put you in the ad scene for awhile! The rough times are when friends visit thinking you just lie on the beach smoking ganja, drinking beer, partying all nite, --- & expecting you to keep up with them. Nothing really glamorous about living here! Just another place to live & keep the departure tax money set aside. 42 yrs I've been in the Caribbean basin with 24-5 yrs here & just don't think about it. Hope my lack of enthusiasm doesn't disappoint you or my other "fans". Well, at least the weather prediction says "less than 10% chance of snow" everyday!

Yes, I let loose with both blunderbusses last nite. No villagers with pitchforks at my gate last nite but don't doubt a visit from the police when they get caught up with other mischief done by rowdy tourists. LOL!
I'm always in the land of the confusion so it doesn't matter & I think it's never to late to wish anybody the best. Like here tourist can cause mischief wherever they go as long as it's not on their front doorstep Take care.

Yeah Zowie, isn't it amazing the things that people do that they would never even think about doing at home! Seen them do things publicly that I doubt they would do in their bedrooms at home! It's free entertainment for us!

You can say that again as long as it's not on there front doorstep. What gets me is the ones that come on holiday & go to the free food trucks for the needy that's pretty low to me if they can afford to take such a trip then they can fed themselves or go without or just don't take the holiday. Leave it to those that need it.

Izenglish, I can flip down there for free by boat or plane almost at will as lots of our planes go there & have friends who can get me on boats going there. Problem can be getting back when we want to return as we can't set their schedules. Heineken regatta coming up here in less than 2 weeks.
Looks like a dream place compared to the frigid weather I am looking out my window at ! Hope your doing well and trying hard to keep out of trouble <wink>
Mani, it's really cold here! 25C/74F! "Warm body weather" as we said in Jamaica. "out of trouble"? I think our gate guards are required to notify the police when I leave so they can issue warnings! LOL!

Nevada. You have me looking objectively at these pix. After the general response & you last remark made me go back & look. I actually didn't think anything about the pix except that they were half decent considering the 20-25 knt winds that day. I am going to take your advice & have #2 enlarged, framed & hang on my gallery (Until the next hurricane @ least!). I thought people were just enjoying pix of a square-rigger & never gave any thought to any pix qualities. Guess I was lucky & thanks for pointing out the subliminal that just flew over my head for a year!
Nicefice, I'm in St. Thomas right now & just had to close a door because of the cold wind. It's about 26 here ! That's 26 C, or about 80 F. Hey, if you have it, flaunt it ! LOL!!
