Thes are some of the lamps that my wife and myself have collected through out the years. There are several aladdin lamps including a pink moonstone vertique which is near the top of the list of aladdin collectable lamps. There is of course a washington drape,, a quilt two Lincoln drapes,, and a bee hive..
Of the scene in action lamps I do have one of the rarest ones and that is called ;moonlight [1931] and it is in mint condition.. The other two motion lamps are Niagra falls and the popular forest fire.
We aklso collect torchier lamps and you can see two of them in the photos. These are becoming harder to get especially the fancy ones.
Of the oil lamps ther is a late petal[which is turning purple] ,,a bulls eye and the center one is a quarter block. I do some antler carving and on of those is in the photo with the oil lamps I did not realize that I was a collector until one day I looked around and counted about 30 lamps and fifty antique radios and all kinda of other old items that we collected...
It's a disease to which there is no cure ,but I can pass on these items to others who will in turn pass them on again. I DO HOPE YOU ENJOY THE PHOTOS as much as I enjoy showing them Dan
Very nice. Were you lucky enough to find them in this condition or have you restored them? And it is NOT a disease...it is a minor malady for which I am self-medicating. :)
Hello again,,Two of the lamps were in my family but I still had to fix
and restore them. Most of the Aladdin lamps needed repairs so I repaired
them to make them working. I do not like to have these antiques if they do
not work .. thanks for the comments Dan
Would you consider selling any of your "Scene in Action" lamps namely "Moonlight"
Brian,,,I do appreciate your offer on the moonlight lamp,,,,but I waited a long time to get one of these and I do not wish to sell it I have children that are interested in these lamps and they will be handed down Thanks anyway Dan
In the second picture, can you tell me what the fourth lamp from the left is called? It seems to have a "nubby" texture, and resembles one my parents have.
You do have a beautiful collection there!
Suzi The lamps in the second picture [the ones on the piano] are from left to right,,,,aladdin Lincoln drape,,,,,an oil lamp called beaded crickle,,,,,aladdin vertique,,,,,aladdin colonial,,, and finally another lincoln drape... I believe the one you are interested in is the Colonial.. They were made in 1933. The Colonial lamp came in three models and they were #104=clear crystal,,,,,#105 green crystal,,,and amber crystal.. The lamp I have is a clear crystal but it has a touch of greenish brown to it.. According to the aladdin collectors price book these lamps range in price from $100.00 to $250.00. Of all the lamps I have the most valuable one is the 1938 pink vertique B87 and it goes from $450.00 to $550.00.United states dollars[but now,, thats less in Canadian money..]
I do hope I have helped you out and I do appreciate your comments,,,,, Dan
