Hard to say when this was made, probably 1900-1920s. After that the plain patterns were more popular. Anyway the top pot is 6 1/2" wide and you can see the size as it is on the stove. The double boiler used to be common but not so much now.
As for flash versus no flash I am thinking flash looks better, re the camera.
