Hello fellow collectors,
Thought I'd share my most recent purchase: a circa 1920's/1930's bronze Art Nouveau inkwell-pen holder featuring a stunning eagle motief.
Measures 8.5 inches long by 5 wide by 4 high, and is signed "A(lbert). Reimann" on one side and "Gladenbeck Foundry" on the other.
I thought at first that the usual glass or porcelain ink reservoir was missing (as is often the case), but upon close inspection there never was one, and there are still traces of ink at the bottom.
I've never seen an inkwell like this before, and am truly delighted to have been lucky enough to acquire it.
Thanks for looking!
stunning and very beautiful!!!! Happy New Year!!
Thanks Sean, and a Happy New Year to you as well...!
Your very welcome Hyp-storian :) and Thankyou :)
Beautiful...Reimann is a desirable designer. These deco candleholders I have are attributed to Reimann as well:
