Another little piece from Salvation Army yesterday. The day before we were sorting and another lady looked at this piece and said "Oh yes this is definitely hand made probably Mexican silver." She didn't buy it and it was still there yesterday. I really didn't think much about it as it is not marked for metal content or by the artist. It did have the remains of a paper label inside but it was worn and unreadable. I removed it with goo gone and that area really shined up. So maybe it is silver. It's rather soft and bendable too. Looks like hand applied wire work. The stones are odd. They feel very waxy and look porous under magnification. Not very shiny or hard. Maybe Red Jasper or some kind of Soapstone I really have no clue. A nice piece though whatever it is. -Mike-
