This is one of the few Russian silver we have.
1896 - 1908, Assayer's initials to right of head also indicate town, and I think they are of Kliment Anikiyevich Zagayevsky of Riga 1899-1916 http://www.925-1000.com/Frussia_kokoshnik_01.html . Makers Mark for Nicolay Shepelev Riga 1902-1919 http://www.925-1000.com/Frussia_makers_A_r.html . Thus the spoon dates between 1902 and 1908. As most of Russian silver it is wonderfully elaborated: lobed bowl with vermeil bath and profusely engraved finial. I found a very similar one on the web http://www.antiquesreporter.com.au/index.cfm/lot/695382-a-russian-silver-spoon-1899-1908-riga-with-assayers-mark-k3-for/ . Mine has also a third mark in the bowl, last picture, I do not known exactly what it is but seems the Imperial Cypher of Faberge, perhaps it was done for being retail by him as the set http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/20796/lot/235/. 16 cm long.
It seems there were several connections between Fabergé and the city of Riga. Several Latvian craftsmen have worked at Fabergé, including the painter and graphic artist J?nis L?bergs (1862-1933), and the famous sculptor Teodors Za?kalns, who worked with intricate and fine moldings. Art?rs T?lbergs, son of the goldsmith Fr?drihs Osvalds T?lbergs from Tukums, also learned his trade from Peter Carl Fabergé. The famous father-and-son jewelers have yet another connection to Riga – they both met their future wives in the city.

I'd say it is more of a shell patterned spoon than a berry spoon !
Berry spoons normally have berries & leaves patterns in the bowl hence the name!!
This is a lovely spoon possibly a jam/condiment spoon & to be russian is a bonus !!
      Love it ;-)
