Last post for now - here we have an old Knickerbocker neon, double stroke lettering with clear red in the middle. This had a flashing transformer originally and would blink alternately between the white and red. (similar to the Miller High Life flashing signs) Produced by Universal Sign Co in the early 70's. I have not seen too many of these around. Enjoy!

Was Knickerbocker a beer or what?

Yes Knickerbocker was a beer from NY. There are other variations of the neon as well that say Ruppert Knickerbocker.

Thanks for the info. I didn't start moving thru the NE between Jamaica & Canada until '74 so guess I just missed trying it. Wish I had had the experience as I love beer & sampling regional brews.
