We just found this photo of my bike from c.1970 or so. It gives a good indication of how we treated our "rides" back then and also why it is really difficult to find some of our childhood-type items in nice condition. When you do find an original item in great shape, cherish it!

To me I believe that the 70's was probably the start of the "use, abuse and through away" world... Not many people would cherish property enough to make it last for ever... I know I was as guilty as the next person... It some saddens me thinking back on the things that we owned and took advantage of...
