Archimede Seguso (Murano, 1909 – 1999) was an entrepreneur and Italian master glassmaker.

I think it was a BASE for something else ( of his pieces ).

Trying to figure out here -- I did find *another* Murano Art Glass Maker (LUCIANO GASPARI) that also had a square piece base under another piece.

      https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/dining-entertaining/glass/xl-luciano-gaspari-murano-glass-block-sculpture/id-f_1165270/

So ( I assume ) a Glass Block base made for one of his pieces ?? but the top now lost ??
