She is a composition doll in original clothes . Dates from around 1930's , has tin eyes and mohair wig which is sparse. She should be marked in back of neck in raised letters by maker . Let me know what you see ok . She has crazing and paint lifting and condition is everything . That she has original clothes is wonderful . These were called Mama Dolls and usually had a crier in stomach . Is her middle body soft and do you feel a box in it ?

Yes, she has century doll co raised letters on the back of her neck. She is crackling a lot, she was stored in a bag for quite some time. My Dad just bought a old house to redo and she was in there and thought she was pretty old so I wanted to do some research. Yes, there's a box in her lower back I can feel it. Doesn't make any noise or anything but there's something there.

The Century Doll Company of New York made bisque and composition dolls from 1909-1928. I should have said 20's to 30's . The crier is often broke , after years the bellows wear out . She is worth saving . There are place that restore composition or collectors that can. Your original dress makes her a nice find . Values vary by condition and she is not a character face but what we call a dolly face doll. Thanks for sharing your find !

I would soak her dress in woolite and not squeeze it ! Just lay it on towels to dry flat and put another towel on top and press some water out . Put on dry towel and let dry. The dirt will soon wear down fabric and it will break down. Normally I say don't wash unless it may cause fabric damage . Handle it with care it will be very fragile . Unless your selling her let buyer decide . The mohair wig replaced would be nice too but has to be replaced with a old mohair wig not a new one .

Oh the link I sent that doll has a newer replaced wig a no no and collectors will not like the look it gave her !

Thank you so much for the help! I'm still debating on what I should put her online for. I was going to go to my local auction guy and see what he thought as well. She is unique!

They value is not worth putting in auction house she will sell for less . Value not real high perhaps in her condition around 60-125 and the higher amount is because of her clothes . She is not hard to find and needs a lot of work . Just from my experience at auction house they sell for less usually it is a dealer that buys them for resale not a collector . How tall is she ? Look at completed sales here for one close to yours .
