Here is a close up of a Carpeles, Heiser & Co. trunk corner latch. Also is a picture of a catalog cover that shows and mentions the hardware. Also a couple of pics of a CH trunk I had.

Thanks for the information on the corner latch. The idea of a detent pin for securing the top is incredible. I have admired this trunk on your site, great interior. Thanks again for the information.

Wow! You should have used the 3rd pic for your 1st pic because that is what we see as the attention getter. You can move them around easily enough. We have a bunch of trunk collectors here that I don't want to accidentally miss this. Did you restore this?

Wonderful trunk Jim, one of the finest interiors too.I Knew that I Had seen the hardware before, you don't see it that often,I'm Glad that you could shine a light on the manufacturer for JonB. This is why I would encourage others to explore your site, and realize the research effort that you have put into creating one of the most comprehensive American Trunk Label collections as well as advertising /trunk history .
When we all find labels that are not listed on Jim's site I would encourage others to share them with him, as he shares his knowledge of trunks with others. His research efforts are second to none. Enough said.
