This has been posted before but I deleted it by mistake.
This ring has been driving me crazy, trying to find out information.
There are no marks but it has been tested 18ct White gold.
There are 2 large 50pts Diamonds each flanked by 4 tiny diamonds on the shoulder. The collet setting and shoulders are delicately engraved, this ring could be Art Nouveau/ Deco.
I did have the ring valued, the jeweller didn't specialise in antique jewellery which was really silly on my part, but I'd only just begun to collect.
The day after, I'd had this ring valued, I wore it, you can imagine my shock and horror when I looked down and saw one of the diamonds missing, luckily it was a small one, but I never went back to that jeweller again.
Any information would be much appreciated.
I have also put on a photo of the box it came in.
Many thanks for looking
very beautiful !
Very beautiful...
Beautiful! Love the mount too :-)
Hi Kyra I've tried googling the name on the box and the address in Paris, I'm coming up with nothing.

Found a box similiar to my ring box, but no nearer in solving who designed and made this ring
Many thanks Mankin, for your lovely comment and love.
Many thanks DrFluffy, for your kind comment and love.
Many thanks Kyra, for lovely comment and love. I'm still looking, one question, do you think this ring could be French? Did the French in the Art Nouveau/Deco Mark there Jewellery, I really want to solve this one, I probably won't but I'm going to give it a good try.
Many thanks

Oh!! wow!!!...:-)
Yes this is one of the three rings I started my original collection. I do wish I could find out more about it, it doesn't help without makers Mark, I'll shall keep plodding on.
That ring is stunning!
Interesting that you can't find any information on the ring or the maker. If you knew someone in France, they might be able to help.
The problem is I don't know the country it came from, the lady I bought it from seem to think it was from the States. I don't think the box is original to the ring. It doesn't even have hallmarks. I did have it valued so I know there diamonds and white 18ct gold. I keep thinking that the engraving is the clue, but it's a difficult one. But you never know, someone on CW might know.
Many thanks

I’ve been doing some research and I came across some French Toi et Moi rings. I think after 6 yrs I’ve finally solved the mystery of this ring, what do you this?
France has always had strict legislation in regard of marking silver and gold.
Au Negre was huge and important retailer department store; no piece of jewelry could have left the premises without official marks (maker's mark en losange and eagle mark for gold). In a word, the ring does not match the box, and was not even made in France.
Thank you Ivan for your comment, the box itself came with the ring, Im not sure of its history. It's because of the 2 diamonds in this ring I throught it might be Toi et Moi from France. Maybe I should go back and research American rings, if I remember correctly the seller thought it was from the States. It great to hear from you, I hope your well,
Ivan.
