I had never heard of this Case Brothers Double X before, so I thought I would give it a shot. A quick Google search turned up a bunch of info., using key words "Vintage Case Brothers XX Knife". Here is one of the better links for you, and "Very Nice Knife You Have":

Thanks , that helped a ton. Still couldn't find the style but looks like a whittler to me
I don't know much about that knife but I collect case knives just don't have any that old but that mother of pearl handle is very nice and pretty rare
Were you ever able to see your knife on that link?
I used a magnifying device and was shocked at the value, never knew Case knives were so collectible.
