Restored Dome Top Trunk

Purchased this at a flea market last summer, it is a solid trunk that just needed to be cleaned up. I removed the covering and refinished it as a gift for a family member. The first picture is the work in progress. Not a fancy trunk but it does have some nice hardware on the slats and corners. I added the metal lid lift, it originally didn't have one and replaced the leather handles. Added fabric to the inside of the lid and the bottom of the trunk to soften the interior.
