2x3 rug. Not sure if it is wool, could be silk. It is at least 60 years old. The colors have faded some over the years I have had it. But it's has deep reds, golds, green & pale blue. Pretty sure the fringe is silk. Belonged to my parents, just wish I could remember the story behind it. Hope to frame and display soon.

Prayer rug, maybe Turkish or Arabic, but don't think it's Persian. Do you know how long they had this rug?

It belonged to my parents. Mum said it was a Turkish prayer rug. It's 60+ years old.

Wondering if there is anyone out there who can tell me where this might have been made and the meaning behind the the decoration (symbols) used. I know there are certain flowers used that have their own special meanings and so forth.
