      I actually saw and passed on a couple of these onyx bookends this past week. Some were Mexican seista types others were horse heads in singles and in pairs. Have to say the India theme is very appealing.

      i didn't realize that soapstone could be translucent, but i guess it can because this certainly is. definitely soapstone on the hardness test! you can scratch it with a boiled noodle!
