Aurora by Amphora
Bohemia, circa 1900
9.5" high
Amphora celebrates the Art Nouveau headdress with this lady, which some collectors call Aurora. I added period photos to reveal the fashion that likely inspired Amphora's designers. A fellow named Mucha also might have provided some inspiration. Those of you that are familiar with my collection might wonder if I reposted the same vase. I didn't. This is my second Aurora on this particular form. (Yes, I love her that much.) If you compare the two closely, you will see differences in the cabochons, hair, and other details.

These Masterworks are priceless! I love the photos as well. Just wonderful!
Looks to me like Gustav Klimt; especially the back. Really beautiful!
lovely vase, and the photos are great. You have put in some effort, so people like me can understand your passion and take pleasure into delving into pasture new. Thank you.
Thank you for the loves and comments, all. Freiheit, Amphora did a series of vases that collectors have labeled the Klimt series. Amphora and Klimt were contemporaries, likely quite aware of each other's creations. Peasejean, that's a very nice thing to say. Thank you.
Wonderful post, thankyou!
just beautiful;-]
Thank you Elisabethan and surfdub66 and everyone else for the loves.
I saw a silver ladies compact with the face of your vase, it was beautiful.
