I have wanted one of these for ages .. My better half agrees it is a keeper and user!
Made for John Jenkins & Son, London by Josef Inwald Co. Glassworks, Teplice, Czecho-Slovakia from designs made by John
Jenkins and his brother, produced solely for the UK it was first made in early 1930's and produced after WW11 a swell this one could be from as late as 1990's ...I 'm not sure .
It's model number is 11598
10" High x 7 1/2 " diameter ( looks much bigger and bolder! )
The continuous frieze of forest scene has amazing detail and depth.
I absolutely adore this.....and want one too!
Ok ... a green one. NICE !!!!!!
Hi Sklo they are out there and not too expensive ...so get one too !!
Yep Vet ...green so probably a latter one .
Am I right to think it is pressed/moulded?
Yes Sklo42 .. pressed molded .. with lots of detail .
I'm already a fan of Czech pressed glass but this is an especially fine example!! Lovely to see it, thanks.
Gorgeous and in glorious green.
Internet search ...here I come!
Gorgeous color... I love it.
STUNNING , JUST STUNNING!!!!
Thanks for the loves folks ...it is an unusual colour... it has pride of place on the sideboard (for the moment ) waiting for the right bunch of flowers.
Wow, what a lovely green, you certainly wouldn't miss this, it's a keeper, it's great you use it.
Still looking for the right flowers ..
It's lovely oz it reminds me of a tree. Hope all is well there. Did you get to Bundy or did the rain hold you up. At the moment just waiting to see if this cyclone comes in it should be a beauty. Had some peace from rain fall the last couple of days. Laptop really slow due to weather I'm just hoping I can get some Emails done as they are really building up. Say hi to your wife & I hope all is well for you. Take care
Hi Zowie ... it is a whole forest full of trees .
Yes went up to Bundy to see my Mum (she is barely alive .. so sad )
It did rain which meant i only got one quick dip in the sea.. I usually have on in morning before nursing home and a much needed one in the evening after ..
Slow lap top ... blame Telstra ..
All best to you
Cool , love it !! & i think a forrest vase should be green ;-)
Striking! White hortensias would look glorious in it, in my thought :-)
Sorry to hear about your mum ozmarty I'm glad your trip wasn't to bad weather wise. After the nursing home a dip would of been refreshing take care bud

I was lucky thanks for asking I hope your mum is ok she was a lot closer in the end then I was but it has left all the major roads closed so not a lot getting through. Have a great day
Are they 'out there', ive not come across one in any colour, if I did I'd snap it up. It's fabulous Marty. It's like looking into a forest.
Hi Vintagefran , sorry for late reply but I've been traveling in the East and had limited internet .
They are out there and some time and usually quite inexpensive for a clear frosted ones . They have not been fully appreciated by collectors as yet.
Things are not to bad at the moment oz just a bit of drizzling around I'm glad so far today it's not raining as I have a trip to town not looking forward to it would be really a s... if it was raining
Hi Zowie we could use some rain down here ... it will happen some time .
Took a photo of this vase yesterday with a bunch of Proteas in it that came from a friends garden, looks great on the sideboard .
I think it would great anywhere it's beautiful I'm glad to see you using it instead of sitting in a cabinet beautiful things should be use. In the few years that I've lived up here I thought you got more rain down there then here I've been surprised as we have never really had what they call a wet season. Things look promising but nothing seems to come out of it. The cyclones I can do without still been lucky I haven't actually seen one as yet. Come up but nothing comes of them. Have a top day & you & your wife stay safe.
