i found this at Urban Ore the other day. i think it's fairly progressive for 1952, and probably even affected US public policy. this was an early attempt to discuss genetics w/ the average joe, which makes it interesting too. i'm not sure whether other people are interested in stuff like this, but i am!
this is very cool love the graphics!! so Mid century modern!!
thanks SEAN68! it has some very cool graphics in it.
Your very welcome ho2!!! your lucky to have this , if theres any loos pages etc , you should have them framed and matted ...
thanks again sean. i really like the book for the graphics, but also for the content. it's such a critical issue, despite the mass denial of it!
Hi! I am a PhD student at UC Berkeley, when you say Urban Ore, do you mean the one here in the east bay? I am currently studying the history of population genetics and would be very interested in this original publication! I've been analyzing digitized versions of the text but have been unable to find one with the graphics. Its quite a find! Please let me know if you would be willing to share a scan of the document or if you would like to meet to chat about it's history in person!
