Yes!..I know I have some very pretty vases and rare ones.. and... some may think I am crazy (I know Craig does ;)...but! I adore this vase so much so!.. that when we packed up to live in the garage (while our house was/is being built) it was the one I didn't...couldn't!..I needed to keep it with me, to keep looking at it!..it makes me smile...:-))
I call it my vase within a vase.....I just love the little Putties/Cherubs beavering away engraving on the water wheel their precious glass vase... I imagine them creeping out at night when all the grown ups have finished for the day and quietly working away, unseen and unheard!!!
Not sure of the age but would put it in the last quarter of the 19th century, possibly earlier.
The enamelling is exquisite!.. and it's a large vase... wide and! tall...standing..approx..11 inches x 6.3/4 (in diameter)
A few people have seen it lately and loved it too! so I thought I would post to and share also! with you my friends...thank you for looking!

Holy moly... This is gorgeous...
inky, I still can't get over the fact that you have a vase with little cherubs engraving glass vases - a glass decorator was having a lot of fun depicting work within the glass industry one day! I bet there isn't another one like it. I just love it! :)

Hi inky! Will be uploading my Harrach Vase momentarily but I'm still Ga-Ga over yours. RER
This is very very beautiful , love it :-)
It's like Mary McGregor meets Wedgwood !
It's beautiful. What makes it beautiful? The eye of the beholder. Who cares if someone doesn't like it, doesn't make it not beautiful...we all have items that for whatever reason appeal to us but this one should never be thrown on the scrap.
It's innocent, maybe those with children having been parents can only appreciate the beauty and innocence of chilren and childhood.
You have the best collection and with this you still prove you can expand and move in to fields without being blinkered like some collectors can become. I see that in Porcelain collecting lol the time :)
Gorgeous piece!
