Kurata Glass like many glass makers did not just make art glass but also utilitarian pieces as well. This 1960s set is so much fun, but typically for Kurata, really well made.
The large serving bowl and individual bowls are made from coloured glass, cased lightly both sides in clear and moulded and hot worked.
The stickers have been removed although adhesive in Kurata shape is left. I regularly see partial sets for sale in Japan, glad I got a full set!
Don't they just make you feel happy?
Yakisoba anyone?
They'd make anything in them look even more delicious !
I always love tableware, in glass I collect, that little bit more than vases......vases don't take the same hammer! Understand your joy in having the full set:-)
Yes... And I want to eat some sort of delicious fruit salad with strawberries and oranges in one of these.
Just love the bright colours!...:-)
Strawberries and ice cream for all as thanks for the love!
