OK, This has to get the award for the weirdest photo postcard! I really do not have a clue what is going on here. There is confetti on the floor so it is some type of celebration. It states on the back "Sylvester 1926." It also states the name of a hotel that I cannot decipher and some other scribble. There is what appears to be a man in drag seated front row right. There are two women holding hands front left and one of them appears startled at the man who seems to be yelling at her. A woman beside that woman appears to be wearing a blonde or white wig. There are a few women with aprons and several soldiers. Can anyone tell from the soldiers outfits what kind of soldiers they are? Aside from possibly being a Halloween party, this photo is the strangest I have ever run across.

Thanks to aghcollect and vetraio50 for solving the mystery!

The one with the white wig appears to be in drag also or a really ugly Kraut! My very limited knowledge of Euro. uniforms suggests post WWI Prussian. There appears to be a guy with a toothbrush mustache. LOL!

They knew how to party back then. I've seen old photos from this time in my grandparents albums, as soon as there was a party people had costumes or crossdressed like this, men wearing womenclothes and women wearing mensclothes. The crossdressing wouldn't have the same effect today. But in this photo I'm not sure that they are doing that?

Yes, I was just looking at a pile of postcards when I spotted this! I was so intrigued that I had to have it!

The uniforms look Swiss. At least some of the "women" look like drag queens. They make celibacy look like the best option.
