I've always wanted a Barbini double fish as a companion to the Poli piece I recently posted. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/146478-seguso-vetre-d-arte-murano-sommerso-fis I was finally able to snatch this one. It's massive, measuring 25" H x 15" W x 9" D and weighs 35 lbs! I've photographed the two together to illustrate how the Barbini drawfs the Poli -which is a large piece in its own right at 15". There are subtle differences between the two, the most obvious being the tails. The Barbini, has a fish-like double fin, whereas Poli's tail comes to a point like an eel. It still retains its original label and is in perfect condition. As always, thanks for looking.
Beautiful Rick -- Might want to post the label with this post, so it can be a reference here for others on CW.
