My husband went to a winter (3"of snow had fallen!) farm auction in eastern Kansas to buy a bulldozer & I told him to bring me home a surprise. It took him almost 2 hours to get home from the sale due to blinding snow. He didn't get the dozer, but said he DID get me a surprise and it was in the back of his truck. I brushed off 3"+ of snow and this wonderful old set of 1901 P.O. lock boxes were under all the snow! The old farmer had used them for his nuts & bolts. Thank goodness he turned the front of the boxes toward the shop wall and had preserved the glass! I love my hubby's surprises!
Your Hubby did good with your Gift -- Rusty Farm Gold !!
He does have a good eye for unique things. I think he paid $70.
Beautiful Find! How do they lock?

FANTASTIC!!!!!..love it/them....:-)
Actually I haven't cleaned them yet , but they appear to have a basic combination (?). And the small round latch moves sideways. They very small box compartments. I'm just learning about them. Exciting to say the least
This is absolutely awesome.. Your husband is so cool to pick this up for you... LOVE IT.
