    Well here's something QUIRKY !

I have had this for a couple of years now and have not seen anything like it.
    It came from Vinnies.

A miniature ladder with eleven steps .... but ten of the the steps are made out of glass and contain mineral samples (?).

    It folds flat.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

It 30cm or 11.8" long and 10 cm or 4" wide.

I suspect the wood is either cedar or mahogany.

    Unsolved Mystery

A Lang Hancock gift! Nah....it looks too old.
A trophy of the CFMEU establishment...they are 100 this year (that's the national miners union folks).
A souvenir of the Pilbara (or as we suggested Broken Hill)...bit too gentrified for the Pilbara.

I know ... it was Albert Chapman's....a gift from his wife!

      No idea really.

Must be like some type of Advertising Premium of Mineral samples -- whether a few made, or very few made. Like an Salesmen Sample (of Sort) of what is mined, or their company handles. Great find KEVIN!!!!

      ~ Geological minerals/content certain areas/depth
~ Mining Company as to what they do
      ~ School Class

Just Super find!! I love it!!!

    36. toracat toracat, 10 years ago
Maybe the 11 minerals necessary for life to form on another planet? Or the 11 minerals found in "goofy" Australian DNA animals only found Down Under! Like Platypus, etc. (joking)
