    I don't really know anything about my trunk. I would love to so if anyone has any idea info about this type of trunk i would love the help thank you. It is about 35 inches in width and about 20 inches in depth. It has leather handles on either side, the color of the trunk is a very dark blue with a sort of red and tan frame. the inside has a blue and white material covering it. The outer corner pieces appear to be brass. the lock on the front of the trunk says USA Excelsior Stamford Conn 5951 let me know if you would like any other pictures of said trunk or any more info.

      A very lovely 1920's era trunk. The covering is vulcanized fiber -- tough and durable. Beautiful big oversized latches with guides and two other guides at the front. It is a standard type of flat-top trunk, but a nice example of one for the time period. Great to see the label and know who made it. Thanks for the post -- great trunk...

      thank you so much for the info and input, you are truly the "trunkman"! and thank you Trey, i thought it looked pretty fancy as well. i like the thought of where the trunk might have traveled.
