Pierrefonds vase. Impressed logo and number 583. Three molded fish, approximately 7 inches high. "Crusty" glaze with crystals.
Likely designed by Julien Dupagny. Dupagny was a director at Pierrefonds from 1907 to 1909, at which time he often collaborated with his friend the sculptor Jules Jouant. Although the vase itself could be later, as Pierrefonds reproduced various of its designs over time, the glaze would suggest that this is an early example.
These comments/this information was provided by Paul Arthur. He has a book entitled "French Art Nouveau Ceramics: An Illustrated Dictionary" . I highly recommend this book.
