I got this clock from my Moms husbands father. He lived S. of Milwaukee, WI. I was told it won 2nd place in some category at the Columbian Exposition in Chicago, 1893. It is very heavy, (onyx?), has a nice chime, I have the key. It needs cleaning, doesn't run for more than 10 seconds. I got it in 1983, and it ran well for 10-15 years. I would love to know what kind of display it was in at the Expo.
