The Loetz deco-era decor known as "Etrusk" dates to about 1928, and is documented in Das Böhmische Glas, 1700-1950, Band VI - Art Deco - Moderne (plates VI.26 and VI.27, page 31). Undoubtedly a response to the popularity of the oroplastic decoration introduced by Ludwig Moser in the preceding decade. The ground on this little box is "kaiserrot", or imperial red, with an acid cutback design featuring mythical figures and scrolls. The bottom is ground and polished flat - unmarked.
