We all know that it's really just another name for Standard Oil, but Chevron is today's Branding name for the Biggest fish in the sea. It's still ESSO in Europe and Standard to those of us old enough to know what we are really talking about. This cute little grouping of signs is located at aaalakesidestorage.com which is in Provo Utah and is part of the FREE museum that welcomes all visitors. Come inside on foot and dont bring tools in your purses please. Actually the place is protected like a fortress but it feels very user friendly and it is. We pretty much have the whole series of Standard signs beginning with Utah Oil Refining Company, which was the first refinery in Utah beginning in 1909. It wasn't a long time later that Standard bought stock and finally extended its tentacles little by little Until finally owning controlling interest and changing the name of the Company to UTOCO and then American and then Standard and then PanAm and then AMOCO and finally Chevron. Big fish often disguise themselves by name changes but they are still serious carnivouirs and eat smaller fish. For those of us that are sign hunters we really love the fishing as that is were the fun is.
