Although not the most detailed piece, I believe the artist made up for it with his blending of the rich, vibrant colors. I marvel at his ability to mate the red feathered back with the green and gold feathered breast. I've never seen how this technique is done, but I'm assuming he must have been -or still is- a highly skilled glass blower. She stands 15" h and is in pristine condition. I've been thinking about a little competition for a while and I think in light of all that's been going on this would be a good time. I don't want to give any details yet to keep it fair . Rick, do you think this is a Venetian piece?
It's very possible Deano. It was sold to me as Murano - in my early days of collecting - but I've been unable to prove or disprove it as I've never found a match.
