We're currently having our roof replaced with a new metal roof. The roofer showed up today with these awesome antique lightning rods. He said they would look great on our old farm house. He removed them from a church that was built in the 1850's. He's been moving these around for the last 15 years until he saw our roof and said that's where they belong. He sold them both to us for $75.00 installed. We love them.
You got a real deal there and your preserving history, congratulations I'll bet they look awesome on your new roof!

If you live in the islands, you might be in for a long wait! Antillean law requires 3 observers for each man working. LOL! Actually not a joke.
I hope he is going to put the grounding cables on them as well. Otherwise you are just begging to have your barn burned down.
