I got a call from a friend while I was in Hawaii telling me about a Model AA one ton Truck a mutual friend had for sale. I called the friend last week & he told me he had a very cute Model Aa truck that would be perfect for our fuel delivery truck, since we already have the fuel tank for it. He said it's missing a radiator, shell, hood and engine. He forgot to tell me it was missing the doors, windshield, headlights, had the wrong top, missing four wheels & tires, and a few other "small" items. He said it was "real cute & a nice little truck" but needed to know if I wanted it. He's in his 80s & didn't know how to text a pix so no pix. I really wanted an Aa delivery truck so I just bought it, sight unseen! Hello! This is what I bought! Unfortunately I
Pre paid waaaay too much for this pile of rust and drove a long ways to go and get it so will just have to hope I can find some decent deals on the parts to make it look like the delivery truck I had hoped it already was.
Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose! This one was not one of the better deals! Fortunately for us, we met with a collector friend on the long, sad trip home and found some great signs that she had just decided to sell! The day turned out sweet even with the original disappointment! Keep on hunting as you may jut find something really cool and sell it to us. Yes you can come to aaaLakeside storage and have a good laugh at us for this one!

Hey don't feel too bad, we all have those deals. Mine was a 1927 Diamond T truck. I bought at a auction and got for half of what I expected to spend.

But when I went to load it on my trailer, I tripped over a wagon wheel hidden in the grass and broke my ankle. I 've had dozens of guys who wanted to buy it but when I tell them how much with my medical bills included, they walk, and I limp off in the other direction.

Oh, and you gotta watch those eighty year old's. They will get you everytime.

Ha Ha to us old guys! That's a good story. Sorry about the broken ankle. This old guy knocked a hole in radiator of his tractor dragging the old AA out of the ditch where he found it in the mud. That will cost him a pretty penny to re core. There are always stories to tell when one is chasing the rainbow. Yours is a great one and the old truck looks great to me! Keep on hunting.
